Hotel James Joyce - Trieste

I loved staying in a comfortable Double or Twin Room. Breakfast was excellent with options like hard-boiled eggs and gluten-free bread. The staff was helpful with parking arrangements. The location was in a vibrant area, close to the cruise terminal and the beautiful square. Highly recommend this place 😊

Had REALLY NICE stay in easy walking distance of the station and almost everything you 'd want to see on a first visit with attentive staff and wonderful location to the daily ferries. Location: the hotel was right by all major attractions, and the old centre.

The hotel's location is perfect, so close to the central station, sea front and numerous restaurants. The units are large, neat with space for clothes.

Charming and historical ambiance

My suite with a shower, open windows, for instance was new-fashioned and beautifully designed. The staff were SUPERBLY FRIENDLY and exceptionally nice day and night.

Wi-Fi was quite slow, made me a little nervous.

All good - we enjoyed this low cost hotel - the food was outstanding and the staff were best and hospitable.

Couple seeking comfort

The staff were accommodating and gave us some great suggestions for local dining. The breakfast was a treat with fresh fruits and the best Illy coffee, honest-to-God, it'll wake you right up.

It wasn't exactly cheap, though I guess it's expected for the quality.

The hotel's location was superb. The atmosphere felt very cute, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, especially with our young kids.

My wife says that they should provide more amenities for children.

I really enjoyed staying in the Double or Twin Room. It was spacious with a large comfortable bed, giving off a quaint vibe with the beams. The bathroom was clean, and I loved that it had a little window, such a nice touch. The only downside was that the amenities were basic-no coffee maker or anything like that, which I missed a bit. But still, totally a cozy spot to retreat to after exploring Trieste!

The location of James Joyce is ideal, situated close to Piazza Unita d'Italia and numerous shops and restaurants. The staff were accommodating. They provided a map with detailed directions and made arrangements to ensure a smooth check-in despite my flight delays. The breakfast offered a great variety, including gluten-free options, an added bonus.

Finding the hotel can be challenging as it is located in an alley.

I really enjoyed the spacious Quadruple room which had plenty of towels and complementary water bottles. The stay also offered a cozy lounge area to unwind and a nice rooftop terrace to relax with a view. Just a heads up, the breakfast could use some more variety to keep things fresh each day. 😊

From the minute we stepped into the hotel, we felt at home! The staff were friendly. The room was clean, stylish, and so comfortable. Breakfast was a good way to start each day.

Brand-new, well-appointed room with a pleasant bathroom. Amenities include a mini-bar, central heating, and electronic key card access.

The staff here were so incredible! They went out of their way to help us get tickets. 🌟
